As set forth in the 2003 Strategic Revitalization Plan, the community development facet of SHARP has been systematically following its implementation guidelines.

Phase I Targets for years 2004 - 2006 complete. (.pdf)

Phase II Targets for years 2007 - 2009 are well under way: (.pdf)

Application for Main Street designation in 2009 focusing on revitalizing the commercial district which will open up more grant funding opportunities. Following that, SHARP is would like to implement its own version of the Elm Street Program, which has been in effect in Pennsylvania since 2004. The Elm Street Program is an urban residential enhancement initiative that targets older established neighborhoods for revitalization.
